NLC Summer: A Split of Growth and Resilience

That's a wrap for summer - here's what we learned...

As the dust settles on the NLC split, it’s time to take a moment to reflect on a season filled with challenges, growth, and hard-fought battles. Finishing 6th place out of 8 with a record of 4-10, this split didn't go as smoothly as we had hoped, but it showcased the resilience and determination of our summer roster and coaching staff.

A Season of New Beginnings

This split marked a new chapter for Nativz with a completely revamped roster. We welcomed Theoloris as our Top Laner, Hybradge as our Jungler, Painful in the Mid Lane, Space as our ADC, and Baul as our Support. This fresh lineup brought both excitement and uncertainty as they navigated through the highs and lows of the competition.

Key Moments and Challenges

One of the defining moments of the split came in the final game against DMG Esports. With a final chance to pull ahead of our rivals Verdant, the team delivered a clutch performance to secure a victory and claim 6th place. This win not only highlighted the team's potential but also their ability to rise to the occasion when it mattered most.

However, the path was far from easy. Competing in a league where the top 4 teams advanced to the EMEA Masters, the stakes were higher than ever. Our 4-10 record reflected the fierce competition and the challenges our team faced in gelling together and executing tough drafts against some of the best teams in the league.

Engagement with Our Community

Throughout the split, we were sure to keep our fans engaged and connected with our journey. Our co-streaming efforts across Twitch, YouTube, and X/Twitter featured our talented content creators Zathdos, Sandbag, Lisa, and Heltic. Their lively commentary and interactions provided a unique viewing experience and helped bring our matches to life for our supporters.

Coach Demb's Perspective

Reflecting on the split, head coach Demb shared his thoughts:

"This split has been a rollercoaster of emotions. With a new roster, there were bound to be growing pains, but I'm incredibly proud of how the team stuck together and showed improvement week by week. The final win against DMG Esports was a testament to our hard work and determination. While we didn’t achieve our ultimate goal, the experience gained this split is invaluable."

Looking Ahead

As we look forward, our focus is on building upon the lessons learned and continuing to develop our team's synergy and strategies. While we have nothing set in stone for the upcoming Aurora Cup, we have identified some strong talent and plan to retain players due to their high potential and development we believe we are able to provide.

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our fans for their unwavering support. Your enthusiasm and encouragement have been a driving force behind our efforts. Stay tuned for more updates, and join us as we prepare for the challenges and opportunities ahead.
