The story so far…
We’ve seen an explosive NLC 2nd Division Spring Split with drama, roster changes, org name changes and upsets (has everyone forgotten about the unbeaten Nativz being taken down by AaB who were propping up the bottom of the table at the time for their first win yet?...).
Nativz have had a strong Spring Split to say the least, picking up 14 wins and just 4 losses already establishing ourselves as a prime candidate for promotion to the 1st Division. The team hit the ground running with a win over our domestic rivals Munster Rugby Gaming in the opening match of the split, which we hope to see a repeat of in Playoffs.
An unbeaten glory run followed our derby win. Until we hit a few mid split issues however we handled them well and rectified them sharply, allowing us to secure second place. Our Mid Laner Rylle had an insane split, some even calling him the MVP of the league for his role – but more to come on that later…
With the regular matches now over we enter the Playoffs where a total of 600 championship points are available – 180 going to the winner. For each team, these championship points collected in Spring Split will be combined with those from the Summer Split - the top two teams then enter the promotion series playing for an NLC 1st Division spot!
These Spring Split Playoffs are formatted to give the two best performing teams in the regular round of matches a head start. While the other four teams work their way through Playoffs Round 1 and 2, Munster Rugby Gaming and Nativz go straight into the first Semi-Final.
From here the winner advances to the Spring Split Final and the loser gets a second chance in the other Semi-Final to claim the other remaining Final spot.
