Dublin, Ireland - March 18, 2024 - Following the tremendous success of last semester's Winter Final, Ireland Esports Collegiate Series is thrilled to announce a return to Dogpatch Labs in Dublin for its Spring Finals Weekend. This highly anticipated event will take place on April 13th and 14th, 2024.
Presented by Monster Energy, the Spring Finals Weekend builds upon the foundation of the previous semester and promises an exhilarating two-days of competitive gaming action. Day one, scheduled for Saturday, will showcase intense battles across popular titles including EAFC24, Rocket League and League of Legends. Day two, on Sunday, will feature equally thrilling competitions in Counter Strike 2 and Valorant.
The road to the finals has been nothing short of thrilling with teams from TU Dublin, SETU, Queens University Belfast and Trinity College Dublin confirming their places for their respective finals. The remaining play-off matches could see teams from the likes of University of Galway, University of Limerick, DCU and Maynooth University joining them if results go their way.
The results from this weekend will influence the Collegiate Challenge leaderboard, TU Dublin have all but secured first place with second place still up for grabs. The top two Universities will battle it out in May to claim the illustrious title of top esports University on the island of Ireland. Any misstep in the Spring Finals could change the standings dramatically given the bonus points that are at stake.
